Uh I wouldn't do it. Why the hell should people kill each other over whales? What's it really matter if people kill a few whales here and there? Who are you to be LEFTY, PROTECTOR OF TEH WHALE PEOPLE?

Survival of the fittest man, every animal goes extinct eventually. Even humans will someday. Perhaps it's just the whale's time to smarten up or go extinct.

because someone has to protect them.  as i said before, apparently the major organizations and governments of the world dont give a fuck outside of saying "bad whalers, you shouldnt be killing those endangered animals, but well turn a blind eye because we love your electronic products.", and honestly, does it affect you if other people are willing to risk their lives for a cause?

yeah but animals rarely went extinct outside of natural disasters before man came around and started pillaging the land.  the ecosystem is a delicate balance of elements and animals. you start killing off species and the balance is tipped. who the hell knows what the effect could be if we killed all of the whales, and that major point aside, what the fuck is whaling needed for in this day and age? its ridiculous that theyre being hunted still.  theres no way for a whale to "smarten up" against humans and their ever growing technology and weapons.  if we wanted to wipe out every single animal on this planet, we could do it at this point.  and if we wanted to preserve every animal we could do that more easily than killing them.  its not a fair fight anymore. it wasnt a fair fight once we progressed past spears gumby.  oh and theyre killing alot more than a few here and there.  have you seen the show yet?  there are several japanese whaling fleets, each consisting of two spotting ships, two hunting ships and a "processing ship".  you tell me if thats necessary for a few whales here and there for "research".

we all have our beliefs that we would die for.  and i cant remember who said it, but i remember a quote i read a while ago that was something like " if you have not found a cause worth dying for, then you havent begun to live".    i think i would more or less volunteer for something like that for the experience and going down to to one of the most remote places on the planet, but i do believe in their cause and i think someone needs to fight these people.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/4417462.stm

1000 whales? the largest catch in 20 years?  does that sound like a few here and there to you gumbo?  :nonono:

yeah sorry, i think whales are pretty tight.  although i'm more survival of the fittest about tiny rare birds and shit, whales and dolphins seem like they may be pretty smart despite their lack of hands.

i think the captain and his second mate are awesome on this show.  i wish more people would stand up for what they believe in like this.

As the top of the food chain and a creature conscious of the danger we cause, and the importance of other life, these creatures are our responsability. At this point in time, we have no excuses of ignorants or right to place ourselves far enough into the food chain to justify unnecesarry violence.
By the way, your post shows you are a dumb ass.

There are truths in the world, as I've said before. As creatures with such mental abilities as we, we must become protectors of our home in space, and people like you, with your thought processes will be the end of us. We must revere life enough not to whipe it out as the Nazis tried to do with the Jews, or we are less then they are. Looking at the way Americans think, such as the kid in my class who was talking about how he swerved to hit animals, we are worse then Nazis already. There is still time to do good though, I suppose.

Hahaha I was playing devil's advocate man. While I don't agree with whaling, I think the activists people are terrorists. If I were those whalers I'd have canons/RPGs on board for people like them.

not all terrorists are bad.  if our government decided to enact marshall law and try to lock the country down in every aspect, for a transition to fascism, anyone that would fight back would be considered a terrorist.

i fully support eco-terrorists.  hippies full of rage out to protect the planet.

and when the whalers start using lethal force, i expect the shepherds to follow suit.
