PC'ing with polyfill filters

Just to make sure, following the instructions at http://www.fungifun.org/polyfill/ , some hypothetical popcorn jars should be sterilized with the polyfill in the jar lids during PC'ing, correct?  And how can you inoculate the jars with a syringe if the polyfill is in there?  Sorry for such n00b questions..... :frown:

You would have the polyfil in the lid when your pressure cook.
If you didn't you would contaminate your jars if you did this later.

You actually can get the syringe in through the polyfil to inoculate the jar.
Just be careful.

good luck!

As Roadkill said either through the polyfill , or you can make (before sterilization) an additional small second hole covered with tape for inoculation (take off the tape during the inoculation).
