My betta fish died lol

how did i manage to kill a betta fish?! (chinese fighting fish)

well... i gave him a good life for a couple months in a gallon fishtank with air stone. but it eventually passed on, wait a minute. what if i bought him as an elderly fish and he died of natural causes?? oh god now i gotta do an autopsy

i didnt even know they needed an airstone, they always have those things inside a teacup

They're fairly easy to kill. I had one when I young but I didn't take the best care of him.

lol your airstone was pointless, beta don't have normal gills, if you watch them , I recently adopted a beta who would have been killed :lol:, they come up and breathe at the surface!

hahaha i did an autopsy and it came back negative for poisoning so i know he wasnt assassinated. by the looks of his bloated belly i have came to the conclusion he ate too much

why the hell do fish do that, i mean shoouldn't they all just die in the wild like that then?  or is it the food we give them is so shitty and toxic that it kills them?

i can keep a 30g saltwater reef tank with multiple corals. anemone and fish but the time i have one fish that doesnt need any care for. he dies. ima blame it on that

I have had my beta for like a year now. He lives in a vase and only gets fed like three times a week.... idk how he's still alive.

well you can feed them daily, no prob but only once a day and like 4 or 5 pellets lol

yea i had mine for years

we would go months with out cleaning the shit out, feeding? lo but he was in a gold fish bowl with a big ass plant that fed him and kept the water :feelsgoodman: torwards the last year or so of his life

i think it was the move that done him i cant imagine a plant keeping him that full and i really didnt feed him or change the water habitually like i used too

you used two seperate bowls with warm water right? the plant mustve taken the place of the chemicals

otherwise i cant see regular people having a fish more alive/cleaner  then that...

tho sometimes he would panic in the net and fly on the table :lol:
