Mushroom Identification

Hi All,

First post, trying to identify these.  They are growing in the yard away from any trees or shade.  They have brown tops and hollow fibrous shafts.  Digging around, these appear to be some form of Laccaria. 

These were found in Raleigh, NC growing in May.  Weather had been around the 70s with rain off and on.

I would guess closer to Cortinarius or Innocybe.    Def not Laccaria.

Thanks.  What makes this not Laccaria (the stem or the time of year or etc)?  Just trying to learn more on how to identify.

Of the Laccaria I know, the stem is is usually the same color and texture as the cap.  Also, the spore print is white, which is unlikely from the dark colored gills shown.
