u gotta do wut other people that have been using these "magical" "sacred" plants for millenia or generationally  do. Learn from their behaviors and actions concerning these plants. it takes 10-15 years of training under a shaman to become one. It's like a doctor in our culture. Once a shaman, one can ingest these plants multiple times in one week (namely ayahuasca, it's legendary for not having hardly any physical side effects after the experience.) terenece mckenna reports leg cramps after ingesting shrooms frequently)

but since most people aren't shamans, they should follow the advice of consenual approval, based on mass and timely experience with any of these plants, and only ingest these certain types of natural products up to 10 times a year. (srce. erowid.org - tripping f.a.q)
thats comes out to be once every one and a half months.

this wholesale shamanism going on is dangerous. kids don't really knnow wut there getting into. i agree with shultes when he said that this shouldnt be going on how its is, in concerts or as a form of entertainment. but of course then comes the question of freedom. we can do wutever we want right? we're americans! but yeah, even tho if sumone starts out taking this stuff, i believe that eventually the stuff teaches u how to use it, and of course u suffer side effects if u abuse. that goes with everything in life.

The book Breaking Open The Head by Daniel Pinchbeck. I cant seem to find any quotes online from it and I dont have the book at the moment, so...

But yeah... At least shamanistic Ayahuasca ceremonies seems to make people pretty sick from what I've read about.

I have that book, are you talking about the part where he and his friends are wearing adult depends diapers when they tried ayahuasca? haha.

And below that there was this on the same page, Paragraph 2:

"I first drank the brew with strangers, wearing Adult Depends diapers and a blindfold, sitting in a small drab apartment overlooking the East River."

Man you need some help. Shrooms don't make you more attractive. It's only your perception of yourself that's altered. Shrooms should never be used as a self-confidence booster. The fact that you depend on them so much is a typical behavior of an abuser. You have rationalized and made so many excuses to do the drug that its a part of your life now.


This is an ignorant view :thumbdown: if it works for him that is all that matters. Labeling his use as something negative because it is different than yours is the same type of bigotry-ridden thinking that calls all illegal drug use - abuse. Also, exercising every day is commendable in in our increasingly overweight and unhealthy society (in the US anyway).

I initially did psychedelics under the context of just having a blast and for shits and giggles. as I grew older the nature of the trips totally changed to a more philosophical type and my curiosity about them grew.
