bonnaroo question?

Going to Bonnaroo this time, first year ever and I'm really excited.

Quick question though, if I theoretically wanted to bring some assorted plants and powders into the show, how likely would I get caught?

Anybody have any suggestions for sneaking your drugs into the show? Most people would say to get them there, but I like to have it more planned out than that... How well do they actually search people at Bonnaroo? Its not worth it to me if I'm going to get busted and kicked out of the whole festival..

Hoop em?  Get dreads and hide them in your hair?  Put them in your sock, your boxers, your mouth, the guy ahead of you in line's backpack..  Get creative!

vacuum seal that shit and take part of your car apart so you can hide it and get it in.

dont sell anything illegal to ANYONE there. be careful on your way there and back. and dont be stupid when youre there. getting arrested is the opposite of fun.

its nice to know what youre taking. i havent had to buy anything at shows or festivals, EVER because im stock piled on good shit myself. i dont wanna risk buying shitty or bunk anything.

This. If you wanna have any psychedelics, I would advise bring your own. I think maybe one acid deal out of six years, ended in a trip. The first year we went, we found some molly and took it during Radiohead. *It. was. amazing.* Haven't had a good roll since...at Bonnaroo anyway. You can get good quality cannabis all over the place, though. 

When we do decide to bring a small stash, my boyfriend usually packs it in the built-in pocket in the tent, that is then neatly folded and packed into the tent carrying bag with all the poles and shit, which is then packed first in the trunk, with everything on top.  Like one poster said, they're mainly looking for glass.  Also anything they think might take away form their sales. They took 3 tubes of glowsticks we ordered (for glowstick war purposes ONLY) and like 2 Halloween-size bags of candy. They thought we had planned on setting up shop I guess. The people searching you are usually people that have volunteered from around the area in exchange for a free ticket and some cash. I think some get on power trips, for real. I get more worried about the drive down than the search getting onto the farm, though. So good luck!

this year will be my 8th bonnaroo, in a row. Let me tell you about it... its a crap shoot... 20 miles out on the interstate, and then 40 miles out will be unmarked interdiction vehicles, and crews.... they are looking at every single car coming down the interstate, and profiling them....

if you make it through that, you will be stuck in a line to get in for around 4 hours... there will be undercovers working that line...

if you make it to the gate, there are another 4 levels of security.
1) Festival security who checks lightly for glass bottles, contraband, fireworks, and drugs...
2) state/local/federal police, ATF DEA etc... they pull vehicles not so randomly off to the side for an enhanced check
3) audit checks, who checks cars who made it through the first 2 lines without a heavy check, to audit how effective they were in selecting vehicles to be searched...

Then once you get in, you will have undercovers roaming the grounds, extensive searches of your person and bags while going into 'centeroo' the main fest grounds, which are seperate from the camping grounds... and inside there, there is more roaming security.

all that being said, I have been pulled in for searches on Every single level over the years, and more often than not, I haven gotten something through, be it 4 Starbucks Frapuchino's (in glass and prohibited) or a tank of helium (which damn well looks like nitrous)

its a very dangerous game to bring shit in. in reality, you can usually just buy what you wanted to get there... for what you would have paid back home.

its nothing like what it used to be like in 2004, where there were bowls of heady nugs on vendors tables left and right..... 2 years back, i had a camp site on the road, and i was cooking a grilled cheese... i had a mounted security officer watch me for 30 minutes, thinking that i was trying to sell my Single Grilled Cheese.... its outrageous...

I'm not trying to troll and there is something to be said for keeping a bunch of kids safe at a concert where it could easily get out of hand due to the vast number of inexperienced children, but the whole police state that is bustaroo just doesn't seem like the trouble it would take to see ANY band and feel cool.

4 levels? Really? I've heard of the random cars being extensively searched by police, but I've never had to do that in the past 6 years, nor have I ever seen cars around me get pulled off. As for the audit checks? I dunno, never seen that either. Last year, the volunteers searching our car asked where we were from and we happened to all live in the same town. He didn't even search our car, just marked us and let us through (that was the only "searching" of our car). 

It's so incredibly easy to take stuff into Centeroo. I just stuff everything into my bra:grin: if you don't have that luxury, just get creative.  They don't search that hard.  When going into Centeroo, just look for a dude who looks like he doesn't give a fuck and go through their line.  The girls seem to be the most thorough.

Again though, be extra cautious on the drive down.  That's when I'm the most paranoid.  Just spruce yo' self up a little and try not to look so suspicious :tokeeporder: Every situation is different though, so you may not be as lucky as I have been. Good luck, have a great time :peace:  :heart:

Sounds like American festivals are pretty tough on the searches. Not at all like that in England. When I went to Glastonbury, the guy at the gates who searched me told me to open my bag. I opened it up and two hefty bottles of mescaline were right at the top, and I was just like 'no glass here', and I walked on through. Hell, people were just going around shouting for acid. The only guy I saw get arrested was for selling nos. Everyone in the area just started shouting 'CUNTS!' as loud as they could to the police :lol: Then a naked guy started chasing them.

its the same way in america at any decent festival

....bonaroo is just so mainstream though....

ive been to festies that were ridiculously lax, where they wouldnt even bust the nitrous peeps

also there are good drugs, even at a fest where they crackdown like bonaroo. DO NOT BUY DRUGS FROM PEOPLE DOPE CALLING. i have gone through entire festivals without spending any money. you don't need to bring your own shit NOR be on the look out tryin to cop drugs. the drugs will come to you, whether you are looking to buy or not.

that being said. taking your own personal ammount into a even bonaroo is no big deal, even the cops are unlikely to arrest you for some pot and mushrooms. if you intend on bringing weight tho you better have a great plan and have already payed off who needs to be payed off and or know who you need to know, to allow the drugs in.

First of all it is not impossible to get drugs into bonnaroo. Maybe It is even more important to note that I worked security for Bonnaroo 2012. The best place to hide it seriously is first of all in your GF tits, or whatever womans' in the cars boobs. WE ARE NOT allowed to check that closely. Same for the guys it you can attatch it to your sack or  whatever. IF you bring in quantity you better hide it SUPER good because there are what I call search NATZIS and they will find it because believe me we do as much drugs if not more than the attendees. Hope this helps out a few people. And no I did not tell you this to be able to take you stuff. I assure you I bring enough heat on my own thanks. :smile: BONNAROO 2013 BABY!!!!
