Should i go to bonaroo?

lets be honest here im a raver, but im open to all sorts of music.
basically it comes down to the fact that it'll cost me about $225 just to get a ticket and get gas to go there, and i want to know if you all think that this expierence is going to be wirth it.

I'm in the same boat as you; weighing the potential pro's/con's of traveling all the way from NY to TN for the show.

I just recently (middle of the summer) gotten into the Grateful Dead, and even went to a phish show during the fall, after taking a sort of hiatus from heavily listening to music (which had been mostly Tool/APC, nine inch nails, aphex twin...) Now I've got the option of going to Bonaroo with a few friends, although I can't decide if the 300+ dollars of getting the ticket/there+back gas charges, plus all of the favors I'd be indulging in while there, is worth the festival.

Anyone care to share some stories to sway my decision either way?

Yeah you should go.

I figure ill spend probably 500 dollars maybe more. I think i spent 600 last year.... but it was definatly worth it hehe.

I'm a raver and I have my ticket and a week off of work  :thumbup:
I'm a little biased though cause I've been raised a deadhead  :gd_icon: :rasta:
For the record though, a lot of ravers will be going and you will find cool people with music you like  :biggrin: But seriously, dont get set up on e-alley all night, go into check out some bands you should be exposed to. I'm sure crappy house and techno djs do stuff in your area all the time rite?  :lol:
We're travelling from the same general area as you... You need a week free to do the trip nicely from here, and check out smokey mountain national park on your way down. The trip is long, but nice. I recomend it if you have the time and money. Bring a camera, and dont forget friend's addresses to send cool postcards to. Some weird truck stops down south.  :lol:

Believe it or not, Roo is the furthest south i've ever been  :biggrin:
