Doesn't sound to good. I figured that was a good answer to the question. I mean doesn't the manager want to be harassed every time there's a small problem?

In my experience working at restaurants, no.  They want you to be somewhat self-sufficient and have your own sense of leadership because the manager has other things to do.  paperwork and such.

I had a typo. I mean does the manager want to be harassed. When I answered the question for the guy I was trying to say I would try to sort it out without the managers help and only get the manager if it couldn't be fixed another way.

This is an unrelated incident, but it similarly revealing of how disgusting people can be (and how trash McDonald's is in general):

Did you see the pile of hair on the floor at the end while that girl was seizing?

I think that video was more disturbing than the OP.

both are fucked up because there are people standing there watching as this shit goes down.

i think there is some term for this type of situation.. you think you are safer in a crowd but often times are less safe. everyone else thinks that another person will help so no one helps.

Bystander empathy I think, its when no one comes forward to do anything since they all think someone else will do something about it.

like if you wreck your car on the side of the road and your pinned in it.
People keep driving past figuring someone else will check on you or call for help.

ahh got it.. Genovese syndrome or bystander effect.

Quote:
Wikipedia says:
A social psychological phenomenon that refers to cases where individuals do not offer any means of help in an emergency situation to the victim when other people are present. The probability of help has in the past been thought to be inversely related to the number of bystanders; in other words, the greater the number of bystanders, the less likely it is that any one of them will help. The mere presence of other bystanders greatly decreases intervention. This happens because as the number of bystanders increases, any given bystander is less likely to notice the incident, less likely to interpret the incident as a problem, and less likely to assume responsibility for taking action.

my bro was a psych major and wouldnt stfu.. i unintentionally picked up some of this stuff. i couldnt care less why people do what they do.

I'd have had a couple of fatties by the scruff of the neck before the white chick's wig came off, had I been the manager the first thing I'd have told them when it started becoming a disruption was to get out or I'd be calling the cops, failure to heed it immediately would have had the cops called, if it continued I'd have grabbed me a fist full if Jheri curl and dragged them out the door... inflict enough pain on at least one to draw their attention away from the chick they're beating

Yea, turns out the girl getting kicked around is actually a transgender male, one of the attacker girls was only 14

Here is the interview:

That's what I was thinking.  I'd have probably walked out on the floor and dragged one out and done some boxing throws (not your standard punches).  Who cares if the person's a transgender?  They're still human and they aren't doing anything to you.  Fat ugly bitches are mad that a tranny is hotter than them is what it's all about.
