Crazy day (Tons of PICS!)

I was checking my Pan subb patch yesterday and noticed that the first Pan of the season had popped up. I went out to get pics of it so I could post them here and let people know that the subbs are up in Georgia.

Well, I got the pics, of course. The not all of the pics are *great*, I'm still figuring out this digital camera. Anyway, I was thinking that the area looked a lot like the habitat where LizardKing and collected morels... and... here, just look:

I found my first morel, all on my own. Growing from a fire pit that was used last fall.

I figured there had to be more than just one in the area so I looked around and located 3 different patches :smile:

I didn't pick any of them because most were past their prime and I want the patch to be there next year(so I just assumed let it grow). More pics:

Very nice. Photos aren't bad - keep at it!

And you mentioned something that should be taken as a hunting tip by everybody. If you find a mushroom, there are almost always some more of the same kind nearby. So once you find one, start looking more closely.

Damnit... Seriously, I can't beleive that just right across the nation you are finding subbalteatus, snakes and morels at the same time. I really am envious.
