yeah, this is very true. the only real reasons a landlord will check up on you are if you missed a bill, received a complaint, or need something fixed. growing weed in an apartment complex is really sketchy though. depending on the strain, your whole floor could reek of dank nugs.

oh well that changes everything. shrooms can be easily concealed. i've heard of multiple cases on the shroomery where the landlord was in the same room as the grow op and noticed nothing. it really depends on how you play it off and whether or not the landlord suspects anything/trusts you.

My landlord is a crazy cokehead who owns nightclubs and shit, I can barely hang when I party with him. I'm just not in to that scene.

When i got back from spring break my friggin room door was open, which i assume is due to their damn safety/fire detector inspections. I dont think they knew what the big plastic bin full of holes and perlite is for or i woulda heard from em by now :lol:

hahaha nice. i'd be surprised if any of those fucks knew what a shroom grow op looks like. but i sure do love it when stuff like that happens... like you indirectly stuck it to the man or something.. it feels somewhat empowering.

I am a landlord, and I don't fuck with my tenants unless I receive complaints (or don't receive the rent).  The most important things when choosing a tenant are their previous residence and employer reference checks, and then their credit report.  I don't give two shits if my tenants are growing some weed in their place (so long as they are doing it properly; it isn't conspicuous, there isn't a fire hazard or moisture damage, and they don't have shady folk showing up at all hours of the day and night).  Hell, I'll even give 'em tips!

I believe that the tenant should be just as picky choosing a landlord as a landlord is choosing a tenant. I'll only rent from people like geokills.
