Can i create an airtight lid using silicone and plexiglass on top of a rubbermaid tub?

Id like to silicone three sides and gorilla tape the last side so i can open and close it for FAE. Is this possible? any forseeable problems? Thanks guys.

thats what my big FC looks like... its a 35 gallon blue sterilite mono tub with a 12x24 piece of plexi glass first hot glued then gorilla taped on both sides to the tub.

make sure to leave the whole you cut out of the tub at least 1 each shorter than the piece of plexi glass on all sides, so the window has a 'lip' to sit on and be attached to.... mine works fucking great...

the best part about it is that light only comes in from the top... so no weird pin directions.... plus i cant pass the opportunity to engineer/rig something up in my shed.. lmao

seal all sides though... there is no reason to lift your window.. u can just lift the lid off for FAE once its fully colonized... or pull out some of the poly fill plugs
