Here are a few of my friends' writings on how we as humans perceive happiness:

When your thoughts are everything it is to be situated at the pulpit of life then, you'll begin
to understand what it means to be elaborately introduced to your former existence, cause
you can't feel the one that's here with you now, you can only look back on the things that
were in front of you.

The 1980's created a generation of children that are highly susceptible to the development of
fetishes perhaps due in part to the fact that the 1980's poured out products of mass media and
plastic infringements like no decade before and then blasted the consumer with nostalgia driven
reminders of what it might be like to cash out a few tokens at Chuckie Cheese's.

A poinient pin of Bush - the man never exposes himself in anyway shape or form, and thus never
allows us to know what he's thinking - the man can't communicate - we need leaders that
communicate their own goal and explanation of the premise, they need to unveil their mind and be free to
show why it is the most powerful one in the world. A key not to remember - Bush's demeanor and
communicative facilities are targeted at the lower educational rungs of society, it's a non-questioning style
that forbids introspection and darkwooded analysis. Such a hazardous style could prove costly,
when what the American people really want is a man who has honest emotions that are impenetrable to the cameras lens.

Right. Bush and other conservative minded people seem to have a need to respect authority unquestioningly (e.g., God, Dad, the person in power). Many such people then automatically expect this of others as well. It is like ending the analysis too early, ending with a "because I said so" statement.

Sidenote: You know Tony Blair has to basically debate with the parliament once a week, defending his stance on a variety of issues on national television? There is no way Bush could articulate the reasoning behind his views.

I think we need a "Dali Lama-type being" to give the President of the USA position back its integrity.
