i think there are no good news for you if you have no money (drink some run or tequila or something for short term healing)

Consider the dental office to be the last place you want to find yourself, even if you are loaded.
You need to figure out exactly whats going on, What kind of infection do you have? Mild or severe? How severe is it? How long has it been going on for? History?ect ect will help you diagnose yourself. Dont answer these, just ask yourself and figure it out. Once you find the problem, youll where to go.
If you shits not severe, I wouldnt even consider the dr.
Heres what a quick search brought up.
"Gum disease, also known as periodontal disease, is a condition in which the gums, deeper supporting tissue, and potentially the bone surrounding teeth become infected and inflamed.
Gum disease starts with plaque on the teeth, a sticky white substance that coats teeth. It's formed when bacteria in the mouth mixes with saliva and residues from starchy foods and sugar in your diet.
If plaque isn't properly removed from teeth by brushing and flossing, it accumulates and hardens underneath the gumline into tartar. Once tartar builds up, it's much more difficult to remove than plaque and usually requires a cleaning at the dentist.
Over time, it can lead to inflamed gums, or gingivitis. This is a mild form of gum disease. One of the most common symptoms is darker red gums that bleed with brushing or flossing. Professional cleaning can reverse gingivitis."

My uncle got all his teeth pulled at a dental school. Apparently the one here charge based on your income. So he got his done for free cause he was unemployed.
I have pretty shitty teeth too. I only grew 7 original teeth and have had numerous implants and dentures since I was 8 years old. Now two of them have broken and the rest are almost as bad. So I might need to get the 6 on the top pulled and have one of those plates made to give me top teeth. Bull shit, getting full dentures at the ripe old age of 28. So it could be worse I guess.
The pain in mine just started, the dentist gave me a script to Tylenol 3's which actually help pretty good.
