it's the 4th annual busser challenge.  it's basically a fine-dining themed drinking competition.  there's a lot of pressure on me to win, given how long i've been working the industry in this area.  if i lose, it'll just be embarrassing.  it should be a lot of fun though.

that said, i've been getting my chugs (out of a pint glass) clocked after work every shift, and most recently i got 3.7 seconds and then 3.6 seconds consecutively.  that's an entire bottle of beer in 4 gulps.  i know there are plenty who can chug faster, but i think that's fast enough to be strong competition.

i even ate like a normal human being today in preparation, which should hopefully play to my advantage because i usually end up drinking on an entirely empty stomach.

The last drinking contest I was in had a rule where none of the contestants could piss or puke until 10 minutes after the contest was over.  Breaking that rule disqualified your whole team!

The contest was a box wine race where teams of 6 raced to finish a liter of beer and a 5L box of wine (white zin).  The box of wine could not be opened until the beer was gone.  There were at least 20-30 teams, and my team won in just under 3 min!  After the race, they had an MVD (most valuable drinker) contest where each team nominated there best drinker to compete in a relay race.  I was nominated by my team, and for the relay race I had to slam a beer, tip the cup like I was playing tippy cup, run about 10 yards, slam another beer, spin around 3 times with my head on a bat, run 10 more yards, slam another beer, spin a hula hoop around my hips 3 times, do the crab walk backwards with a beach ball between my legs for another 10 yards, slam a beer, then tip the cup again to finish.  I won the race with a time of 45 sec!!  It was one of my life's greatest accomplishments!
