haha. i know it doesn't look like much now, but there was a helluva lot more bleeding going on earlier. people were actually a bit worried, although, obviously, for no reason.
anyways. i'm like fucking wolverine. i just heal extra fast. my thumb was hanging on by just a thread of skin earlier. you should've seen it.

You're lucky it's still there!
I think the comp would be better if you had a time limit to drink each drink, like maybe a minute.
That way,it's not on you to chug it,it's just to get it down in time and outlast the next person in the drunk stakes. A minute is still fairly fast to drink...
I can't chug at all,never could.

Its way faster than that. Pro chugs are closer to 3 seconds

Ah never mind...I re-read the post. I too am drunk. Yeah speed chugs vs alcohol intake would be a totally different game

haha. a minute!? for a single beer?
dawg, we were crushing those beers in like 4 seconds. Das Boot at the end took closer to 15, but that was 3 cans poured into one glass.

I know,I know,I'd just just prefer a comp based around outlasting the next person than pure speed.
Just saying that a minute is still a fast time for having a drink.
I can't open my throat for gulping at all. I've to take a mouth full, swallow it and work on the next mouth full instead of the lot just sliding back.

i understand. you're used to those heavy brit beers though. on this side of the pond, most of us are acclimated to something on the slightly darker side of piss. when it's cold, it goes down like water. for the challenge tonight, the beer we were chugging was tecate. pretty fucking light, and fairly shitty.
i have to admit, though. i am actually a little concerned about the copious cuts on my hands because every single one of them was caused by metal. none of the metal had any noticeable rust, but the threat of tetanus still scares me a bit, especially considering i have absolutely no form of healthcare, whatsoever.

Reminds me of my brother in law. Ill kill him in a chug any day of the week.
This guy can drink a whole 750ml bottle to himself in one night, multiple nights a week.
Of course last week he pissed in my closet...
Maybe not the best competition

the breaks in between drinks were the events that we had to run. in total, we probably had a solid 7-10 minutes in between chugs. it was 5 beer can chugs in total, and then one Das Boot at the end, which totaled 3 cans of beer in and of itself.
all told, i wasn't even that drunk afterwards. 8 cans of beer in an hour? fucking cake. it's just a bit different when you're trying to pour the beer down your gullet as fast as humanly possible, foam and all.

500ml cans or 330ml? I'd be steaming drunk if I downed 8 500ml cans in an hour, obliterated almost
Honestly I haven't drank in almost two weeks and that's the longest I've gone in a long time and you're making me thirsty

8 in an hour isnt too shabby. I wasnt aware of the time frame. I probably would have been drunk too.
Weird side story. I have an uncle who is apart of some sort of jack daniels land ownership deal through joining a club though some type of whiskey drinking challenge. I dont know the story or rules...but supposedly owners of this title have some sort of property rights involved with the jack daniels company/distillery.

american cans are approximately 355 ml. i definitely didn't down 8 pints in an hour. that most certainly would've had me in much more altered states.

Try drinking 8 craft beers in an hour. You'd be fucked.

i am no stranger to microbrews, friend. my beer of choice these days is Lonerider Brewery's Sweet Josie Brown Ale (out of raleigh). it took first place in the great american beer festival of 2010 in the brown ale category. the abv is something just over 6% i believe.
i also regularly sip on Foothills Brewing Company's Sexual Chocolate Imperial Stout, which is like over 8%.
craft beers are not for mindless chugging though. it is an affront to such nectars. i had no choice in regards to the beer to be chugged.

I know, I wouldn't expect anything other than BMC to be used in a contest like that. I was just imagining drinking 8 craft beers in an hour and how hammered I would be. Actually I probably couldn't even do it as I don't like being that drunk.

Ah,this sheds some light on it. I knew they were about 330ml but when you mentioned about pint glasses it got me confused.
I'd like to have a crack off that
My buddy can drink pints in under 4 seconds. Would like to see him have a go. He loses his legs though

if the pint is in a glass, i can definitely clear it in under 4. but we had to chug from the can, which is an entirely different story. you have to mutilate the top of the can, essentially tearing the metal open with your thumb alone so that the opening is larger.
this act is actually the reason why i have like 5 different cuts on my thumb alone.

I'm going to have have to go on a session during the week or weekend now
