Straw/Dung Substrates

So when people tell me to add dung to wheat straw for a bulk substrate, where do you obtaiain this dung? I can get wheat straw, but how about the other part?

For newbies Id recommend using organic compost (Wal-Mart, Lowes, or Home Depot). Its easier to get and it doesnt smell like shit! I have seen very good results with it.

use your head go to a farm get it from the cow or horse. of corse make sure its dry. i mean dung comes from cows and hourses so just think of way you could obtain that farmers usally love you to pick up dung also dung from stalls have a wacked ph because they pee on it to so make sure its dry or in a feild. good luck youll love dung and straw

you have to sterilize the dung and straw? is there anyway you can do it without putting it in the PC? i dont think my mom would like it much if i put shit in her PC.

would spraying it with bleach or h2o2 be good enough to get all the nasties out of it?
