And the current standard of westernized living is COMPLETELY unsustainable. most clean energy techonolgies, most notable being the magnets required in electric generating motors are NOT sustainable viable options due to the finite amount of mineral and material resources on the earth.

And from the wikipedia article on population growth, its clear to see that the growth is slowing,



There are many more sources, but I think that is fine for now.  I used to believe that overpopulation was an impending problem until a fellow shroomery member pointed out that its not the case.

Populations dont grow exponentially, they grow logistically.  And I think it is clear that the current trend is leveling out on the asymptote of a logistic function.

Solving this problem is going up against all the morals in the world.

Limit every country to 1 child per family?

Penalize overpopulated country?

The solution will be very hard to find... any ideas on what to do about it?
