they're expensive because of the effort that is put into them and the quality of the materials.  they're made by hand in a small factory in raleigh, as opposed to the work being outsourced through a private contractor with factories in the 3rd world.  the fabric is fucking quality.  the stitching is superb.  and they look pretty great on me.

also, you never have to wash them.  i don't know if it's something about raw denim, but it just doesn't absorb odor.  these pants have been adjacent to my stanky ass for a solid 3-4 months without a single wash, and they still smell fine.  in fact, the fabric on the inside of them still smells good.  they recommend buying one size down and wearing them for 6 months before even considering washing them, resulting in the best damn jeans of your life.

however, please realize that the only reason i'm rocking such swanky jeans is because i got them for free.  i personally could never really justify spending $200 on a pair of pants.  i'm simply too poor and practical for that.
