From what I've seen, your interest is in Psilocybe Cubensis strains, that be the case all ratios and growth parameters are the same... Use the search bar, it works wonders on answering worn out questions.

the search bar is not going to tell him what ratios gave x cultivator their best results:shrug:

More time reading and less time responding:wow:

7 qts of Spawn varying from WBS, Wheat cover crop and Rye

1 brick of Coir

2 cups of gypsum

2-3 quarts of verm

3 qts of SCG (spent coffee Grinds)

1 cup or so of Strait ground coffee unspent.

2 Cups of Perlite

maybe I can upload a pic tomorrow of its progress

For Psilocybe cubensis I usually go for 1:3 spawn to bulk ratio.
For Panaeolus, Gymnopilus and other exotic Psilocybes I generally do 1:2.
If you want pictures click on my Gallery or Journal. Both have plenty.

This guy doesn't deserve our responses. But bc i don't wanna be a complete dick... stick to a 1:2 ratio spawn:sub.

And for the love of god quit posting bull shit in mush cult until you get some grows under your belt. good luck

from what Ive gathered on others asking questions along these lines,. is it depends on how much you've refined your culture, either through agar work and or cloning,

but mostly from what i gather, the amount of grain is one of the larger impacts on how much weight shroom wise the tub will produce,.

and i think thats mainly because of all the nutrients in the grain

ill be interested to see what Baraks tub does with a little time,.

of course,

I had a bear of a time in my cherry buster thread getting Mycelia from my B+,
most of this was just me being a difficult n00b

But since then I have been working with the same
mycelia everyday and observing it in more situations than I ever imagined.
from my observations I have noticed its love for the FAE and anything airy and fluffy

SO I just thought I would put it in the sub to fluff it up a bit
due to its previous reactions to all things light and fluffy :super:

I just like to tinker around I guess.

You're using a 1:1 ratio? That seems a bit high to me?

I actually wanted to go 8 or 9 qts of spawn
but I wasn't sure how much room I would have.

my next monos I was thinking of
Coir/hpoo
with a 1.5:1 or something like that.

Why does it seem high?

Well I've read hundreds of pages on monotubs, trays, and ratios and most people around between 1:3 and 1:4. So 1:1 seemed a bit high to me. But hey, you'll probably colonize your bulk substrate faster so more power to ya!

Clone or Isolate:super:

He is refering to whats known as BE or Bio-Efficiency
Basically you could take 10 lbs of dry grain and then devide by 10 to get
a projected DRY Harvest weight
Cubies have a pretty high BE % I wanna say around 200% but I forget.

ill be interested to see what Baraks tub does with a little time,.

Good advice DG:super: and here ya go:grin:
