Whats soo wrong with fascism anyway?

Our Capitalist two party system has brought us this far but the parties are now getting warped into there own ideology. They just now agree to disagree and with the changing of the guard (elections) they only stand to cancel each other out.

We are now in a WORLD economy and the world needs to be protected from capitalism.

We do not have capitalism.

If the market is not allowed to use what it prefers as a medium of exchange because of legal tender laws it is anything but capitalism.

We have central economic planning which is the antithesis to a free market capitalist system.

Capitalism does not necessitate that is is free market.

Also your reply is stupid because in an international market (thus the word WORLD) as he is speaking you are able to choose mediums of exchange.

Free market capitalism is real capitalism.  I try to make it a point to remind people that the market itself is not to blame for the problems that the central planners cause.

What we often see is central planners in government and banking systems causing severe economic distortions which are then blamed upon "capitalism".

What you say about mediums of exchange is somewhat correct.

I think that the rising prices in commodities is the market rejecting the government fiat, it is the market moving towards commodity based mediums of exchange!

It sort of is I suppose. Some materials like copper/lithium are being bolstered by actual increases in demand that are real longterm gains in price rather than a temporary scare/speculation from declining prices in Fiat money (like gold/silver).

Also, though I do like when people blame politicians for the problems they cause, I simultaneously loathe when they fail to blame the market for the problems it causes. Using your purist view of free market capitalism to justify such a lopsided approach is a form of intellectual slight of hand that only fools cannot see.

More to the op's point. Now that the vitriol of the election is burning down, is the tea-party ever going to do anything about the corrupt money funding/directing it or the fascists in it's leaderships and ranks?

Speculative investing that has a great effect upon the price of commodities are usually fueled by a credit expansion.  Given that we are in a bust following the previous cycle boom I don't see the precious metal increases to be due to a speculative environment.

Rather, I see the increase in commodities to be the market seeking stability in tangible assets.

I am interested in talking about the problems that you see the market causing...  Please elaborate.

My posts don't need any fixing.

Are you implying that the money system isn't corrupt?

"The fundamentals of the economy are sound..."  Is that your mantra zap?

Do you still maintain that the "fundamentals of the economy are sound", as you have in the past?!?

Do you believe your own bullshit or are you just completely disingenuous?

The fundamentals of the economy are sound.  If you would like a perfectly flat economic curve make all the world China.

This nation is one the verge of a currency crisis.  The fundamentals are fucked.  The U.S. is on the path toward sovereign debt crisis or possible hyperinflation.

Interest rates have been rising despite the lowering of the federal funds rate.  It seems that the Federal Reserve has a harder time manipulating the economy during the bust phase of the business cycle.  I view this as being a positive market action in the sense that it put the brakes on inflation a bit and could possibly slow down climbing commodity prices to allow for more stockpiling of said commodities.

Interest rates are still near historic lows.

I'm glad to see you have finally grasped that the Fed isn't all that mighty.  People either work or they don't.  People either pay their loans back or they don't.  In the end the only thing that ever matters is what the mass of the street does.  Not Wall Street.

I would say that it appears the federal reserve has more difficulty effecting long term interest rates when newly created credit based money is not fueling a housing boom.

I'm waiting for a commercial real estate crisis next.

It would appear that the E.U. is busy imploding right now which bodes well for short term dollar strength.  I think it is a good time to invest in commodities that one can have physical control over.  Silver in my opinion has a greater upside than the other precious metals.

Economic downturns have a way of clearing out the fraud from the market and the silver market has been rife with fraud for decades...

You do know that speculating in commodities does not actually produce anything.  Right?

Neither does speculating on government... well it does produce more debt, destruction (wars) and laws.

Silver actually has industrial uses (more so than gold).  I would hold silver, not to make wealth, but to keep it.

That is a non-sequitur and a specious assertion.

It is hardly a non sequitur considering your entire post.  Also the absurd construction "speculating in government".  It is rather nonsensical.  You damn well better "speculate" in government or you will be made a slave by nasty motherfuckers.  That is often the alternative to war.  Ask the Eastern Europeans how much not fighting cost them for half a century.

They both have industrial uses.  That has not one thing to do with constructing one's financial portfolio out of static commodities that pay no dividends or interest and cost other money to hold.  It is pure price speculation with no other value.  Good fucking luck and take a good luck at the graph I linked.  Looks suspiciously like a bubble to me.
