Yup, I love lucid dreaming too

Try flying next time, or punching down a few walls, very theraputic!

awesome dream story!

i've had the experience of having the same dream, or very similar dream (same basic set or storyline) numerous times before.  usually the reoccurring dream will take place in a strange, unknown fantasy-world with people who i don't even know in real life.  like i'm in a movie; a movie that plays every so often when i go to sleep at night.  it's a very odd occurrence, and i wonder if it has ever been studied or if there are any plausible explanations for it.  once again, very cool dream story!

Dreams are the shit.

I had a most bizare one night before last.

Basically, in the first half, my awareness was flying around and bumping into walls and stuff. I didn't really know why. Basically, it was like i was just this crude light beacon flying around.
Then i fly into this lab and a guy in a white coat shows me something. It is my body, split perfectly into 4 parts and somehow suspended, like cryogenically or something. This was the wierdest part and i was looking at features on my body and marveling at them, now understanding why i was flying clumbsily around everywhere - i was discorporated. Then this lab coat guy explains that they are preparing for me to reenter my body. Next thing, I am back in my body, and i have a smooth scar cutting clean down the center of my body, both laterally and horizontally. The rest of the dream i am basically running through this weird futuristic fortress shooting at other people with drills and other power tools (even though drills have no projectiles(?)) There was more, but it's been a day, and dream memory is short lived.

Come to think of it, i realize the image of my body in four halves was inspired by the picture some dude posted the other day of a man eating a baby. The way the baby was all laid uot and prepared on the plate.

I love my dreams. I have some crazy ass weird dreams all the time. I often dream about girls which is kickass. I have this recurring dream where I'm some kind of a knight in this big ass medevil war hacking and slashing away until some guy run his sword trough my stomach and nails me to a castle wall. Then i wake up.

Your dreams are limited by the scope of your imagination. After a certain amount of time some dreams are sure to repeat themeselves because there are only so many things inside of your head to dream about. ( although that number is sure to be quite large ) We probably forget or don't even know about most of the dreams we have. I'm sure if you could remember every single dream you've had throughout your entire life, then there would have to be some sort of continuity to them, just like when you're awake. I might be wrong about all this, but that's how I see it. I've noticed that I never dream about things that I don't or can't imagine, that's why I have trouble realizing that I'm dreaming because they always seem so normal, even if I'm flying or doing something physically impossible. If I see something in a dream that is totally without explanation, I usually realize I'm dreaming and wake up. Maybe proficient lucid dreamers have a different take on this concept, but I've never been able to sustain a lucid dream for longer than the time it takes me to realize I'm dreaming.
