quick move, that took a while.

hey guys
sorry to bother you all with a kinda dumb question, but any reassurance would be great.

my friend just called and told me he had to move his operation, quckly, and was forced to load it into his car. it was all sitting in about 40 degree weather. i had one cake birthed (i know it isnt too much, but my friend has become attached to every little pin on it!) i know the temps will just slow groth, but the cake was banged around a bit.

put my mind at ease please...

p.s. the temp/humidity, is still recovering. it is all set back up and my friend is just waiting for everything to stabalize :crazy:

Compared to different species of mushroom bearing fungi, P. cubensis is actully very robust and can actually withstand a considerable amout of stress. Your cake will be fine.

This should make you feel better. I recently had to drive 3 terrariums full of freshly birthed cakes 2 hours across the state. The temperature that day was about 0 with a wind chill of -15 and they made it just fine and my friend said the pin-set was great ( driving on the highway with terrariums in your backseat is never a good idea, but it had to be done - and I was well protected  :wink: ) You shouldn't have any problems unless the cake got  really beat up and it's all bruised.
