but uh, those are the same. theres an entire world of difference between an acoustic and an electric guitar. but between a nice synth and a high end electric guitar, not so much. once you plug an instrument in, it all becomes electric. its nothing more than an audio signal in a cable, and you can do whatever you want with it.

trust me, guitars have some stuff you'd be amazed by. im a guitarist in a heavy band, but i play mostly textures to the driving stuff. and some of these sounds i get i cant relate to any other sound out there.


and i agree with music as a vessel for emotion. thats the whole purpose behind music isnt it? to relate an idea of some kind by using the appropriate sounds?

also, a beginning songwriter can come up with some amazing stuff, compared to some of the guys who have been playing all their life. the beginner has no walls or conceptions of what is right or wrong yet, so he plays it by ear. if it sounds good, it goes. thats how i learned, and THEN i started theory.
