Grafting to pereskia?

I have always wondered if you can graft to pereskia because some species look a lot like pereskiopsis. I just happened to come across something on wikipedia that said pereskia was actually the ancestral genus of all cacti. I believe pereskiopsis would be next in line.  Some pereskia species really do look too plant-like to work.  But others seem like they might work.  Has anyone had any personal experience with this?

I've owned several specimens but have not attempted it. In theory it should be possible, but pereskiopsis seems superior for a number of reasons. The pereskia specimens seem to have less succulent like leaves, more sensitive to drought, all around less hardy, and corked over easily.

Yeh some seem to have woodier stems too. But I have seen some that seem to be pretty close to pereskiopsis.

I think Kada had tried.

And I believe the verdict was that there was little to no worth in them as a grafting stock
