We are farm animals for the elite. Telling people not to read something should be cause for suspicion of criminal misconduct, but our media makes money and holds power only by defending the criminals. So even though they are shooting children in Afghanistan, our media will say it's ok, or just not show the videos.

Whats worse is that people ACTUALLY buy into the shit. Its like something out of
a movie. Hard to believe we wake up in the morning as conscious beings into a
world run like Earth is.

So much beauty, So much turmoil

Yes but even so one should have the right to know. The Columbia university situation is more of them same.

"Talking about WikiLeaks on Facebook or Twitter could endanger your job prospects, a State Department official warned students at Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs this week."

"Earlier this week, companies like Amazon and PayPal shut off the services they provided to WikiLeaks, threatening the site's survival and impeding further dissemination of its treasure trove of classified documents."

"Now, however, it appears the federal government has moved beyond staunching the flow of leaked information, to suppressing even the very mention of WikiLeaks online by prospective employees."

Under pressure, WikiLeaks asks supporters for mirror sites

"Wikileaks is currently under heavy attack. In order to make it impossible to ever fully remove Wikileaks from the Internet, we need your help," the site told followers Sunday. The message was followed by instructions on how website operators could set up mirror sites that would distribute the documents as WikiLeaks released them.

On the microblogging site Twitter, supporters have rallied by offering their sites or by posting links to other mirrors. In an echo of "Spartacus," the 1960 film classic about a slave revolt against ancient Rome, many adopted the hashtag #imwikileaks.

"All the censoring of WikiLeaks is more alarming than the actual content of the leaks. It only further justifies WL's actions," read one widely distributed comment.

Don't hate the media. Become the media. Kudos to assange. It makes little difference though. People will rather go home and post on a forum then go out and riot or rebel. The government has a level of control we've never known before whther we like to belive it or not.

No one needs to riot or rebel.  That's happened before; or rather I should say we've all tried that before, many times, and died; lost family members, lost whole ways of life.  The whole of the 20th century was about colonial rebellion.  So much blood.

Rebel within yourself.  Transform yourself.  Learn to be free and live free.  Let the goverment make outrageous proclamations and practice civil disobedience (ignore them, live your life) in order to show them that they can't control you.

This system doesn't have much longer.

Unauthorized to view the particular secret.
Even though it's published, still a crime for a person to go look it up.

Same sort of thing happens in health care with HIPAA.
You hear on the news some famous person is in your hospital, that's fine- but don't TRY to find out anything about him.

Government employees have good jobs, they should choose to keep them and follow rules. I would.

Follow the rules, or be an unemployed rebel?

People have kids, cars, houses, lives.
We can't all just opt out of society.

If you Google Wikileaks, a story comes up about Columbia University warning students that their future careers could be in jeopardy if they look at the site/files.

The Gov is running scared of WL. There is no free speech without WL!
We need everyone looking at it, and promoting it. Here is a link to ensure Wikileaks can not be censored.

It will explain everything you need to know.

Late bump, cleaning loose threads.

What I was saying: a classified employee can't go look up secrets, even if they are in the news.
Again, similar to the privacy issues around health care.

I can read in the paper that the mayor had a heart attack.
And I know where he's admitted.
But I can't go say "good luck, thanks for being a great mayor" because of HIPAA.

Same with classified materials.
It's not a crime to know the info, but it's a crime for a classified employee to try to get the info illicitly.
