yea you're not paying attention, ive seen quite a few news stories that seems to be conditioning us for disclosure, for example

Things haven't changed much in terms of the military/government stance on UFOs since 1947. They didn't know what the alien agenda was back then and they still don't know what it is today. Until they prove aliens don't pose a threat to the human race, they're not going to disclose this. The aliens will disclose themselves. By the way, there are plenty of signs that this will happen soon. The exponential rise in UFO sightings in recent times is the strongest evidence. Even Nick Pope said that in 2008, UFO activity more than doubled what it was in 2007.

And its just as likely that some drawings could have been glimpses into the future of human astronauts (not exactly what i think, but its just as likely a possibility)

they claim proof a whole lot when all of the evidence provided remains a mystery

it would be much better if instead of pushing some ancient alien belief, they just focused on how mysterious things like nazca lines are. It might be in our benefit to discover that humans are capable of more than we know


I wonder what these people would think if they took a psychedelic, or studied shamans in the amazon. They probably don't even know its possible. If they don't even know about this very human possibility, how could they possibly know for sure that humans weren't capable of things they claim only aliens could have done?


not to mention, even IF there were say a cave painting that was undeniably an alien, that still doesn't mean ETs visited earth in spaceships. Maybe they were communicating through plants? Its possible. That might sound looney to some but considering that at least a possibility is better than wildly jumping to conclusions as these theorists do


so when you watch the show, enjoy all the mysteries they reference, but try to tune out the voices that are drawing strong conclusions from very inconclusive evidence



that's just one of a few posts i've made on the subject. I don't feel like thinking about it at this present moment, or else i'd see what my other posts say that i didn't say in this one.

long story short: i'm glad i watched the show, it made me realize how silly, ungrounded, and desperately hopeful many of these theories are

i did say PERHAPS...important to note.

but anyways, my point was, those experiences made me more open-minded about UFOs, Ets and such, but I think a lot of theories just preyed on hopes and fears...and i'm glad that the more i got to the bottom of it the more it was revealed that, disinformation aside, many theories are just projections of what the theorists would be most entertained by if it were true. Desperate assumptions, if you will

exactly my point about the theorists on Ancient Aliens :lol:

if you think i stated any opinions other than that as fact, you misread. I am inconclusive about most things...except for the fact that theorists on ancient aliens present inconclusive evidence as proof of their opinions,

when really the evidence could imply any number of other possibilities

No doubt they are making leaps without sound evidence, but that's the point of the show. We don't have sound evidence for much that happened ~10,000 BCE. Take the megalithic structures for example. We don't know how ancient humans built these. They postulate the theory that we were assisted by higher beings. Now if you are taking what they say as fact, you are missing where they constantly say "Ancient Alien theorists..." They are not presenting it as fact. It's television. It entertains theories, nothing more. Personally, I find a lot of them to make sense and bring together ideas I have entertained on my own and read in other sources.

From reading your previous post it seems you may be letting your own ET connotations shape why you have so much disagreement with the ideas. I don't see any disconnect between Shamanism (as you point out) and these ET theories... if you read between the lines you will see that spirits, ETs, multidimensional beings, angels, w/e are all synonymous. IMO, nothing but the methods have changed. New Age shamanism is called Astral Projection, where many people report contact with ETs, which some APers simply call spirits. It's all thought/belief based and for this reason it may just be how we view archetypes of energy.

my point was that I don't think these theorists hold that view. I admit I am making my own wild jump to a conclusion with what I'm about to say, but my guess is that most of these theorists have no frame of reference for what shamans experience[d] and therefore project their own ideas about it

in other words, it would be like someone who has never taken acid trying to explain what taking acid is like...except in this case i have the feeling that some of these people don't even know acid exists...im just being proverbial, maybe replace "acid" with ayahuasca/peyote/etc. but i really don't know

no, I am not missing that. Sorry for the misunderstanding, but what I meant is not that the show presents things as facts/proof, but some of the theorists definitely try to

Well I don't know about all of the theorists, but David Wilcock who appeared on the show has done psychedelics, had out-of-body experiences and is very familiar with shamanism among other mystical traditions. :shrug: I'd be willing to bet a good deal of the theorists have a context similar to ours, or perhaps even hold pieces to the puzzle we haven't fathomed.
