My easy build glovebox using an aquarium
    #13485328 -

Hows my sterile glovebox look? Its a glass fish tank cleaned out 100 times over, then wrapped in plastic with a viewing square cut out in the middle, covered in clear plastic. As soon as im all ready i'll be cutting out 2 holes for my arms. By only opening it when its going to be used, it stays sterile for the longest amount of time. so yea, this is how easy it is to build a sterile glovebox using an old aquarium. :P

Do you mean a glovebox?  You don't need an incubation chamber, just put your jars on a shelf somewhere.

Nice build, can't wait to see it completed.

You should throw in a HEPA filter too while you're at it.

Yea, glad you like the idea  Also, the filter would be a great addition, ill look around and see if I can find a fairly cheap one, if not all you'd really have to do is reclean it then add a little plastic over each hole. Ill prolly do that when im home, should work great.

Sorry to be a party pooper, but first of all your glove box (still air box) is merely clean, not sterile.  Furthermore it's not necessary to try and have a glovebox that's sterile inside.  We just clean them (soap and water, lysol, whatever).  The point of the box is that the air inside is still, that's all.  It will never be sterile in there no matter what you do.

Also, I think the filter is pointless.  You're cutting holes for your arms, yes?  It's not airtight, and air won't just flow through the filter without pressure, and you don't want air flowing through in any case, because it's a still air box.

It seems fine as gloveboxes go, though.

What I was trying to do is create an easy to store (remaining fairly clean for a long time), simple to make glove box using things lying around my house. I live with 4 other people and things can get dirty from time to time. So yea, I figured out the filter was a needless addition after giving it some research/thought, although I will be using it for my room. :3 spores just shipped too. cant waitttt. Ty for the input.
