that means the poor-mans bong (pepsi can) will be illegal as well. This sucks, we have millions of other problems going on and MY tax money went to fund it.

Does anyone know anything about the law concerning this? Say for example a certain Canadian decided to open an online head shop, and wanted to sell pipes to a U.S. citizen? Would I be still be able to ship said pipes to the U.S.? Or Would they get stopped at the border as contraband?

Think thats scary? Check this one out. http://www.cannabisnews.com/news/thread15552.shtml

some snipets

The U.S. Justice Department on Monday said it indicted 11 Web site operators for allegedly selling illegal devices including bongs and holders for marijuana cigarettes.

Attorney General John Ashcroft told reporters that the government would ask a U.S. district court in Pittsburgh to point the sites to a Web page at the Drug Enforcement Administration explaining why they were taken offline, a new twist in crime-fighting.

If the court orders the sites to be redirected, Ashcroft said, they will point to a DEA.gov Web page that says: "By application of the United States Drug Enforcement Administration, the Web site you are attempting to visit has been restrained by the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania pursuant to Title 21, United States Code, Section 853 (e)(1)(a)."

The DEA.gov site's privacy policy, which is the same as other Justice Department sites, permits it to give personal information about visitors to law enforcement. It says "we may take additional steps to identify you based on this information, and we may share this information, including your identity, with other government agencies."

edit:
I for one, wont be clicking on that link bluesky posted.

This is all I and you should need to know about where the administrations' true intentions rest.

I don't know what I can say, I feel so frightened to understand this is only the beginning of a hardcore war on freedom disguised as a "War On Terror."

The mere fact that the government still pours its' resources into a "War On (Some) Drugs" while claiming the moral highground against terrorists shows how perverted the situation is.

As far as pipes goes, I encourage everyone to swap tips/ideas on how to make homebrewed ones... The goverment can never stop us from making our own pipes.

The only positive way I can think of this, is that they are secretly doing this to envoke emotion in the American people so that we will become active and change our government.

...ha, yeah right!  All I have to say is "FUCKERS!" You are going to die sometime. I will take over your spot in the government, and I'm going to pass a law to throw all government officials who betrayed our Constitution into a mass grave ...bastards

I think it has to do with them being able to sell to minors, that or having "secret" pipes, like the highlighter one.

Well, I think I'll find out by making a visit to my local headshop and seeing if they're still in business.
