Before or after inoculation? i think thermal death occurs @ 106 F?

are you talking about the "good spores" that is the mushroom spores, or the "bad spores" that is contamination? What Psyconaut and JuanMatia quoted was accurate for mushroom spores.

Here is the deal. I innoculated them, they showed a little colonization so I decided to crank up the colonization rate. I used a heating pad. I put it on top of a closed box with the jars in it. I decided to check the temp. It was 100. I feaked and posted.

I checked this morning though and there was a little more growth though so I think I'm
O-tay.

Although, additional info would be cool. Like how cold or hot things got and the growth seemed to be alright.

Now my temp is a constant and perfect 78.

research has shown that thermal deaths have been established at 106 degrees for Psilocybe Cubensis. The optimum substrate tempreture for colonization is 84-86 but keep in mind that the substrate during colonization is a little warmer than the surrounding air. Higher than optimum temps. slow colonization more than lower temps so if you need to lean one way or the other then make it cooler.
