Cheshire ID, please dash my hopes or otherwise

Found these yesterday in Cheshire, UK.

Habitat:
Soil in a footpath, perhaps from wood in an adjacent garden.  (I went back today and the owner of the property let me have a little look but I saw nothing.  She thinks the gardeners probably got rid of any, but since she was standing beside me chatting I wasn't comfortable getting into the bushes.  Another time.  Meanwhile I'll keep checking the path.)

Gills:
Adnate, pale maturing brown.

Stem:
Whitish bruising quite a strong blue-grey.  Length 5 cm, diameter 0.5 cm, strong and fibrous, slightly enlarged at the base. 

Cap:
Brown drying tan.  diameter 4-5 cm, slightly umbonate but flattening with margin becoming uplifted and wavy.  Margin is striate and bruises slightly blue when moist, has a very slightly singed look when dry.

Spore print color:
Purple-brown

Smells OK, weakly mushroomy.

With pleasure.  I'm going to keep checking.  Reason I don't post many ID requests or other photos is I am poorly equipped and my camera is blinky (lens error, which makes switching on a long process, and cracked screen practically useless).  Yesterday I was only going to the shop and didn't think to bring that or my phone.  Lately there are so many mushrooms everywhere though that a big post is building up.  Anyway, habitat shots in a day or two hopefully featuring more cyans.

ARe thos mushrooms any good? do you eat thos ones and are they like cubensis?

I know little about diffrent mushrooms my knowledge is portabella moral shitaki and cubensis thos are my favs.
