Dove World Outreach Church
    #13159465 -

A dove is a Christian symbol for peace. How is the peace expressed? By antagonizing Muslims and fomenting hate by buring the Koran (Qu-ran).

Founder Fran Ingram: On 9/11/10 we are burning Korans to raise awareness and warn. In a sense it is neither an act of love nor of hate.

The Koran does not have an eternal origin. It is not recorded in heaven. The Almighty God, Creator of the World, is NOT it's source. It is not holy. It's writings are human in origin, a concoction of old and new teachings.
:rofl2:

The earliest writings that are known to exist about the Prophet Mohammad were recorded 120 years after his death. All of the Islamic writings (the Koran and the Hadith, the biographies, the traditions and histories) are confused, contradictory and inconsistent. Maybe Mohammad never existed. We have no conclusive account about what he said or did. Yet Moslems follow the destructive teachings of Islam without question.
:rofl2:

Islamic Law is totalitarian in nature. It is irrational. It is supposedly immutable and cannot be changed. It must be accepted without criticism.
:rofl2:

The attitude towards women in Islam as inferior possessions of men...
:rofl2:

Islam is a weapon of Arab imperialism and Islamic colonialism. Wherever Islam has or gains political power, Christians, Jews and all non-Moslems receive persecution, discrimination, are forced to convert. There are massacres and churches, synagogues, temples and other places of worship are destroyed.
:rofl2:

Apprently this douchebag has never read the Bible nor the history of Christian oppression and forced conversion. (Inquisition anyone?)

Yet the funny part about it all too is that you can't dislodge and disprove religion with the actions of people, no matter if they are hypocritical or progressive.

My once friend was very religious. They would also go over sea's constantly, putting themselves in danger, such as in aids clinics in africa.

:sorry:

Maybe its always been true, BUT I'm constantly dismayed that the extremists of any given religion are the ones who are taken by outsiders as its representatives.  This idiot from Dove World is no more a spokesman for Christianity than Osama Bin Laden is for Islam.

And he once again drives home the point that ignorance is one of the biggest obstacles we face in gaining peace.  Im always shocked that someone who has decided to dedicate their lives to religion hasn't bothered to read any of the literature of other faiths.  I heard an evangelist Christian pundit on NPR the other day talking about how he wanted to give the Dali Lama a Bible to read.  For some reason he had no idea that the Dali Lama has written several books (all positive) on Christianity.

Plus he clearly doesn't understand economics if he's hoping to burn all the Korans.  Maybe he could just download a bunch then delete them. Would be easier.

We have only to follow the thread of the hero path, and where we had thought to find an abomination, we shall find a god; where we had thought to slay another, we shall slay ourselves; where we had thought to travel outward, we shall come to the center of our own existence. And where we had thought to be alone, we shall be with all the world.

Sort of true. Where are all the 'good'/moderate Christian church leaders who are talking down this nutjob and his hypocrisy and hate-mongering? Haven't heard a peep.

What about Fox News and its huge right-wing Christian audience and spokespeople like O'Reilly, Hannity and Beck? :lipsrsealed:

What makes you believe that those idiots are 'good' christians? They might secretly believe the same thing or want it. Either way and i mean suggestively; you can't disprove what he believes and the assumptions of any thought system for that matter, through actions.

Stick with the facts, stay sticky.

Projecting my own morality? Huh?

How about the core teaching of Christ and the mote in your brother's eye and loving thine enemy and forgiveness and so on?

Well, this guy from Dove is CLEARLY a nut job.  There really is no reason to "talk him down" .  He's like the Westboro Baptist family.  Crazy as shit and thrive on attention.  Just because someone is talking crazy doesn't mean you have to argue with him.  Theres a crazy guy who hangs out in front of my building with his shopping cart every day spouting off about God - Im not going to stop and have a theological conversation with him.

People like this asshole are best ignored - they are aching to get into a fight.  Giving them one just lets them win.  No legit religious leader (I have no interest in discussing what that means but you know what I mean) wants to waste his time arguing absurdities. This falls under the old saying of "Never wrestle with a pig, you just get dirty and the pig likes it"

Fox News LOVES it b/c their biggest problem is attracting viewers so they can sell more advertising - this guy is providing free programming for them.  Why would they want to shut him up? Every time he opens his mouth they get more hits on their website and more viewers thus more $$$.

Its a shame though. He shouldnt even have a platform.  Greed gives him one.

How about we talk about your dishonesty? You clearly edited the word 'morality' out after my post.

Is it any wonder you take flak?

i edited it right after i posted it, as i forgot to check the post.

To a certain extent it is a code of ethics/morality that you place on him. The code of ethics/morality that says you shouldn't contradict yourself. Ultimatly that what your pointing out...i thought it would piss you off, so i changed it. Happy?

So Were chilled out man, i ain't criticizing your post, just noticing that you do this alot and i decided to give you my input.

But don't you think that makes sense anyways...what the point of discrediting something that you can easvly disprove, unless you have some form of hate from your childhood that you express in this way.

Again i say this suggestively....

And then called me a liar. Too much!

I gave you every chance and you keep showing your true colors. You have little to say and even less character.

Now i don't fucking care, because you just don't want to be wrong anymore.

I obviously don't have any hard stats - BUT - I really don't imagine 51%+ of all Christians are book burners.

I think he WISHES he represented most Christians. But what he does represent is the face of fear and ignorance.  Has nothing to do with his religion. That kind of shit only uses religion as an excuse.

i take what i can from him and this time it's all BS.

i just told him that he is placing a morality on him and he refuses to acknowledge it....largely why i edited it out is because i am sensitive to what would piss him off.

He does this religion sux because some people don't practice religion properly all the time and its getting far to old.

Yup, he doesn't and only a fool would try and disprove christian validity through this.

firstly it isn't the act of book burning that makes him like them, it's his intolerance, he is just showing it in a more dramatic way, intolerance is one of the 10 commandments

and ya orgone does have a good point every 20th post or so, just mostly is a troll though
