Frozen Snow Covered Straw

I have a bail of wheat straw in my backyard that is covered in about 3 feet of snow. The bail has sat out in the rain and it was pretty gray looking and washed out before the snow came.

I assume most of the nutrients have washed out but could I still pasturize it and add it to a more nutrient rich substrate, like say horse dung?

Will the mycelium still colonize it?

I am hoping that by adding the straw i can expand what little horse dung i have at the moment.

The straw should be ok mixed with dung. Be sure to pasteurize it thoroughly.

Maybe check the middle of the bale,, the outside got wet/snowed/etc.. on , but the middle should still be fairly fresh/Golden..!
