carbon scrubber withh fan
    #12914509 -

yes, i know ASK THE GROWERY
but they are not home right now.(i had this up for 6 mins and 3 times more people looked at it here then in 24 hours at the growery  )

i need to get a carbon scrubber and i was wondering if there is a "favorite" i have $200 USD to spendmax. Would two smaller ones be better then one good one? and how effective are they ?
i was lookin at this thing but would like opinions

this thing is 140$ ready to use shipped to my door in 3 days.
i cant build one for much cheaper then that, can i ?
its a 4 inch ducts  with a 170 cfm fan
do i really need a 6 incher i have a largish room but only two plants.
and its only ever going to be two plants.

im gonna go to home depot to see what cost and cfm there inline exhaust fans are
but i would really appreciate some input.

for 220 shipped i found this

its 100-200CFM Carbon Cannon 1 6" Carbon Scrubber
250CFM Cannon Fan (we recommend using a dimmer switch for speed control)

so is that worth the extra 80? or is that the point where i could build  a better one for cheaper?
(remember i am including shipping in these prices) so paying for shipping on a separate scrubber and fan might add an extra $40 or so to my cost.

Hi man.. It really all based on your room spec.. The 4 inch fan combo is usually used for a tent/closet.. I have a 6in fan and i think its around 450 cfm.. and my room is 10x10x8. but its a actually room built in my house.

Your Main goal for the scrubber is to get a neg pressure.. So air is coming into the room from cracks..doors,vents, etc... so none of that yummy smell leaves the room

the room is hard to explain. im horrible at math
it is also a room built for the house not a grow room/tent
its 9 feet wide ll feet long and it has a pitched ceiling that go from 8 to 12 feet. also  two closest w/o doors.
the room is connected to central air and i was hoping to use that as part of my fresh air exchange aslog as the room wont reek, otherwise the vent will be closed.
i know its LxWxH and then something else but fuck me with the pitch.
Thank you BTW

i have a lil over 790 cubic feet w/o the pitch so i would say about 1050 cubic feet with the pitch and closests

The 4inch fan combo probably would not work.. When it comes to smell its always better to go more than less.. I sent you a Pm with a good Site that you can get a 6 inch fan and a 6 inch scrubber for less than 200 before shipping..

that should work... after you take away the cfm from going over the scrubber.. it should clear your room in around 5-8 mins.. so thats should give you a negative air pressure..

They actually look decent for a indoor flower since u kept them short and bushy.. I hope your 1000 hps is air cooled.. or your gonna be running that central ac ALOT

if its air cooled i will be so fuckin happy. i have no clue ill find out hopefully tomorrow
i built a "tent" in the room i have its not air or light tight but my thought is that if i can confine the smell a lil bit and put the scrubber there it would help. do you think that will work?
if i enclose it im sure it will reach 100F in there with that 1000 watt.

Pull the air over the scrubber and thru the light.. and try to exhaust it as far as u can from your room.. you said the room is inside your house.. If the temp outside of your grow room(inside your house) is in the 70-80.. you should be able to get by with high 80s.. There is alot factors when temp comes into play.. but you did say u had ac in the room. A Tent work fine too it might even allow you to go with a smaller scrubber.. but first I would find out what size the hood exhaust size is.. and go for them I Donnt know how worried you are about smell..

im pretty worried about smell
but its only 2 plants and if someone inside my house smells it its not the end of the world.
outside is a different story.
but i build the tent (cant find my SD card) lets say 7 feet by 4 feet by 6 feet tall
and im still gonna get the 6 inch fan/scrubber

Sounds good man. Everything should work out.. The 6in fan will pull enough fresh air in.. Do plan on doing this a 1 time thing or what?

One last thing.. Just make sure you have fan blowing the tops of the plants so they don't get all crispy, from the looks of the pic they are pretty tall when you add the bucket
