im unemployed and not reveicing unemployment.
im living with some friends and my family has been helping me out with food as thats part of the reason im still staying here.
ive been looking for a job and hope that goes well tomorrow. im trying to be optimistic.
i plan on possibly trying to get on food stamps and such. there are lots of things avalible to help us out in our country.
..i just always thought itd be hard to get a job if i was collecting un-employment so ive never tried...might look into it though.
i know that if your fired for certin reasons your not allowed to collect unemplotment. atleast i think so

Good luck man its rough finding the shit now days thats for sure.
Even if you have a job but dont make much money you can get food
stamps. We get bridge cards here. same deal. And yeah say you get
fired for stealing money or something from ur job you are not going
to get accepted for UE.

i got fired around a month ago. it was a king soopers
i worked there about 2 months. i dont think i held the job long enough either. so im just looking for a new one. i have 6 apps sitting in the car and im gunna turn em in tomorrow. im kinda pulling for hot topic cuz if i worked there i could get tattoos and they wouldnt care. but kinda anywhere around here that dosent drug test would be nice...
im tempted to try and go back to my old work and ask for my job back. i could tell em id go to AA and try and show proof of it. but id have to actually do it.
theres also another king soopers down the street the other way, so i figure  i might try there. itd be the third time ive worked at a king soopers so i kinda doubt they'll hire me again. hopin a safeway around here is hiring

Yeah not long enough. Just apply to other places and dont say you
got fired. Most places will not call ur old job.

well, with mouth swab tests you can pass fairly easily i find.
and ive been looking for the last month. im about at the point where i need to lay off the pot long enough to piss clean. which is an epic fail

I think it should be illegal for employers to drug test prospective employees, what people do on their own time is their own business, and whether one uses drugs is extremely irrelevant to one's ability to perform certain job functions.

It's a grotesque breach of privacy. :piss:

Even states with MMJ laws will fire you if you fail a piss test for pot.. until MMJ is federal, that's how it's going to be.
