Columbia shuttle: Struck by "lightening"?

This isn't exactly politics and more related to science so I'll post this here:
http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?file=/c/a/2003/02/05/MN192153.DTL
This article from the SF Gate describes a picture taken by a San Francisco man. This guy was snapping pictures of the shuttle Columbia minutes before it disintegrated over Texas, and one of the pictures shows a purple electrical bolt striking the shuttle. Strange....

Nice link and interesting story. Thanks for posting it.
We'll have to see what the investigators make of it.

Very interesting...most of what I have been reading seems to point to the idea that the tiles that flew off during take off may have caused more damage than originally thought. This may have caused over heating and then fire? We may find out we may not. An interesting thought about the "Blue Bolt"... Maybe the photographer has captured "spirits or spirit guides" comming to or leaving the shuttle??? Just a thought to ponder..

The tiles flew off right after take off... (based on many media reports) There is a video of the crash/break-up of the shuttle on Kazaa (search news - artist "jammer") that shows some good NBC footage.

I just read this:
"The photographer requested that his name not be used and said he would not release the image to the public until NASA experts had time to examine it."
ah, ok.
(still want to see the pics however)

Ever heard of scalar warfare?

Well not this one at least. Take a look for yourself:

"The boom effect is caused in a similar way to a thunderstorm. In that case the lightning cleaves apart large masses of air which boom when they rush back to fill the vacuum. The scalar weapon can generate a massive version of the same effect. This is not a "beam" weapon like the one used to down the two WTC towers. It remotely produces local space-time distortion effects by connecting through the complex plane around which all space-time is wrapped. "
the wtc incident?? oh come on. if you have a link or can explain why he's refering to the whole 9-11 business, please go for it.

Now NASA is saying the shuttle may have been hit by a small meteor:

Go here and click on "the sun now" link. Click on "more EIT 284". Now, tell me what happened to the ccds between January 31 and February the 4th ? It might be a coincidence, but i was browsing that site at that time and followed the whole thing on the Lasco 3 mpeg animation. "why isn't the tail pointing away from the sun?" Weird isn't it ? I also thougth so. I just love to imagine conspiracies.

ok, i looked. but i lack the knowledge to comprehend what im looking at. is this just a certain view of the suns radiation? if so, what wavelength? what do you mean by tail? ive never had much to do with any kind of astronomy (except to go "ghost hunting" back in the day) so im not really sure what this is.

Shucks, based on the latest NASA news today it sounds like your were ahead of some of us here. NASA has made a complete turnaround, and now acts like they think something did hit the shuttle upon re-entry over Cali... Thanks for sharing this bro!
