they did break the law, but that doesn't mean what the cop did was okay.

there was no reason for that shit, it was a girl.


there's a hundred other ways he could have handled the situation, without violence.

if he was having trouble maintaining control of the situation, which he was, he should have avoided any physical contact, and called for assistance.

there's fault on both sides.


On another note, that video is fucking funny. and realistically,  would have probably helped, had it been watched prior to jaywalking.

That bitch deserved to get punched. Did you see the way she shoved that cop? Looked like she was about to hit him. If a man shoved a cop like that there wouldn't even be a debate about the cop hitting him. Those chicks deserved everything they got.

Ever think that maybe he wasn't trying to knock the girl out? Maybe he was just trying to get the situation under control?

He had one girl struggling and resisting arrest and a second girl came rushing in and "attacked" him. There were also several men standing nearby who potentially could have gotten involved.

If you put your hands on a cop he has every right to put his hands on you. Plain and simple.

It's sad to see such a thing happen over jaywalking, but had those girls acted respectfully I'm sure it would have turned out MUCH differently.

I wouldn't be suprised if that cop is a racist piece of shit. But honestly, watching videos like that are making me racist too.

i cant imagine anyone throwing a right hook at someone with the intent of getting things under control. if you dont knock them out then 99 percent of the time it goes way south from there.

Well, she was a stupid kid, doing something illegal. I mean if I see a cop around, I don't jay walk, or try not too do illegal things around them. DUHHHHHH. Common sense.

I've been in plenty of fights man, if someone pushes me or I push them, the next action is typically a swinging of the fists. No shit!

Oh and the reporter is the same race so she is all upset... Don't matter if your black or white, you start a fight, you start a fight.

you conceded that fighting with a cop is not the right course of action,
you saw the girl in pink, she distanced herself from the cop/fight so it

I agree completely that the cop had the right to punch her. She attacked him first, he was in a dangerous situation. If we want to move toward an 'equal' society that feminists dream of then women should expect to get hit back if equality exists.

I :lol: at anyone who thinks the cop did ANYTHING wrong.  First girl was clearly resisting arrest, second girl pushed the cop pretty damn hard.  He did what he had to do to get the situation under control.

For the person who said wait and call back up - are you fucking kidding me?  You think the cop expected this to happen?  He said stop to someone jaywalking.  Girl didn't stop.  He walks up to her, and next thing you know, BAM resisting arrest, getting pushed/attacked by TWO people.  You think he had time to call for back up?

If he was walking up to a group of huge guys dressed in gang colours then yes, he probably would've called for back up, but from two girls, that is not how anyone would have expected that to play out.
