Hetty groundscores(found a laptop and tablet)

I groundscored a powerbook and a wacom tablet yesterday.
I had seen this backpack in the park and left thinking that someone just set it down.
I came back 2 hours later, it was still there, so I left again thinking "theyll be back".
Fastforward another 6 hours and the pack is still there...I see two bums in the area who were obviously also apt to claim the pack if the rightful owner stepped up. They were in a sorta stand off...waiting to see who would leave first if one of them owned it. I sat down next to it. One of them walked away. The other one was laying down and I thought (well maybe he owns it) a cop tells him to get up and go and he does not take the pack with him. 
I pick it up and investigate.

I come back an hour later and sit around for a while looking to see if anyone is searching the area.
I looked through the pack for any information about who might have owned it or an address so I could return it and found nothing.

Looks like I just scored a new computer and a tablet. If I can get the computer up and running and the person's name and address is on it somewhere Ill return it, but if I cant return it Ill keep it.

Damn dude that's fucking awesome!  On the one hand I hope you can find something about this guy, but if you can't how sweet would that be!

A friend of mine found 5 lbs of bud behind a police evidence locker. Was spindly, stemmy, seedy, and smoke as much as you want and didnt get high. The shit was ancient. Gave all of it away. Woulda been an incredible score if it was atleast some work weed, but it was shit. Still cool none the less, thats when we were like 16.

sorry to maybe bring you down

but theres a good chance if you took it to an apple store they'd be able to find the person who bought it.

but you never know

pretty sweet score if it works out in your favor

Who knows. Im gonna post a lost and found on craigslist.
In any normal circumstance Id keep it but it probably has someone's school work on it.

How did your friend get that close to a police evidence locker without the cops thinking something was up?

wow, that's quite the comeup

i was hosing off the parking lot of my work after a wedding when i found a twenty dollar bill.

that's the coolest thing i've ever found,

actually, i did lose about 20 grams of weed one time in the mountains tripping on acid.

i wrote it off as a loss ten minutes later, and continued my journey.

i found it 6 hours later on my way back, in celebration, i smoked it all that night.

I found a digital camera on a remote and difficult trail in a nearby National Park a few weeks ago. All I got from craigslist were spammers trying to scam it from me, despite the camera not even working anymore.

It's for the best. I got one of those pieces of shit from Camel and the first day I had it the fucker slit my thumb wide open while I was trying to light a cigarette. Rough cut metal doesn't belong anywhere near a striking wheel.

I've found $20.  Never found weed (lost a lot), drugs (lost a lot), electronics (lost a lot), or basically any valuables (lost a lot).

I found a £20 note once. I was like 12 on holiday with my parents and it just dropped out from between two mats on the table. I guess it had been left there from the last people as a tip or something.
It just flopped on the table and me, my sister and my mum just looked at it until I realized it wasn't theirs and snapped it up.
My mum told me that "I should give it in at reception" and "my conscience will get me eventually". I never did and it never did. Got zelda the wind waker half price :laugh:

I think it would be one of those things that I look back upon and regretted massively if I really did give it away.
