Virginia Id request. Maybe liberty caps, but not 100%
    #12745248 -

Habitat:
Virginia, growing from a fresh wet morning dew lawn, near hardwood trees

Gills:
Rust colored, I believe attached

Stem:
Long, thin, fragile, off tan/yellowish color.

Cap:
Nipple tip, yellow at the top fadeing to tanish/light yellowish as it goes down, very easy to bruise, I barely have to touch it. Bruised violet or purple/blackish.

Spore print color:
dark rust color
Bruising:
very noticeable bruiseing, looks to be violet or a blackish purple.

Importannt info: Some caps are conical while others are the nipple tipped

I don't like when people post like that, would you care to give me a reason why these are not liberty caps? And, if not what other mushroom can grow in VA, that has a nipple tip, rust colored gills, and bruises blueish. Unless im colorblind as hell

Because they look all wrong. The cap margin, surface and gills all look unlike those on liberty caps. Not to mention that this is not the season for them to begin with...

Looks like a conocybe sp. to me. There are countless of small, brown mushrooms.

Ok so am I really colorblind, or is that not blue bruiseing on the first picture? since a TI said they are not Liberty caps. What are they?

Edit: Thank by the way to both of you, for explaining, and helping me in my quest . I just started hunting about 4-5 months ago, when I got extremely interested in mushrooms.

Look at some photos of liberty caps, you'll soon get used to what they look like.

There is no blue bruising visible in the pics. It is possible that you see a slight bluish tinge to the cap (I don't see it on this monitor here), but that has nothing to do with an oxidization reaction as a result of tissue damage and the presence of active compounds.

Yeah I have the picture pulled up currently and I dunno, it just seems to me like its bruised blue...but wait...there were blue mushrooms growing from a hardwood tree root about 10 feet away, I found those about 2 minutes ago, but the ones in the picture were all growing from grass in a large wet field right in the corner near where the woods started.
