Possible liberty caps

Habitat:
Where does it grow? Near rose bushes under freshly laid alder chips. Coastal Oregon.

Gills:
Color, attached/not, gills/pores, etc.

Stem:
Length, diameter, color, texture, hollow/solid, thin/thick, etc.

Cap:
Diameter, color, texture, conical/spherical, convex/concave, etc.

Spore print color:
Blackish Purple

Bruising:
None notices

Other information:
Scent of the mushroom, anything else you think is important, large close-up pictures showing stem, cap and gills.

They were found Mid-October on my way back down the coast. Just now getting around to inquiring about them.

Ah, okay. Remember to always state when your finds are made.

You are likely to find them in October, but not in wood chips under rose bushes.

It could be one of the other genera in Psathyrellaceae. Coprinopsis marcescibilis comes to mind, pretty hard to tell without microscopic and genetic work done though.

Yeah looking at the other Psathyrella species they do look more like Psathyrella gracilis or Psathyrella marcescibilis, and yes without at least a microscope to look at the spores and cgills and such it is difficult to distinguish one mushroom from the next basically. Unless its Lions Mane. That one is always a safe find. Thanks once again for your help.

Nope. Well, anything can be done, but it's extremely difficult, very experienced growers managed to get just one or two fruits after multiple tries. There are many other species you can cultivate indoors, cubensis, mexicana, galindoi, Copelandia etc.
