Should Entrepreneurs Be Worshipped?

In America we worship entrepreneurs. Is this a proper thing to do? I have nothing against making money but it seems to me that when we worship people who are rich simply because they are rich that we are elevating the things that are of a lower nature. Things like materialism and such. I do think that focus on material issues is certainly worthwhile and necessary however part of having a civilization means valuing things such as learning and the ability to remember the past and to be in connection with the history of ones local area. It seems that worshipping entreneurs is a manifestation of anti-intellectualism. However there is such a thing as being overly intellectual too. It just seems that worshipping entrepreneurs is anti-civilization. And just to be clear: I think money is a good thing and that it is good for people to have money.

If you appreciate money and think it attaining it is the main purpose then yes you should. If you see that as a crock of shit then no, you should not.

Except for Tiger Woods, Michael Phelps, Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Lance Armstrong, Tom Brady, and the Jamican guy who runs really fast.

I think entrepreneurs are worthy of admiration... but worship? whooah no! They already get paid enough. Also you don't know how many people they fucked over to get where they are. So they just deserve admiration for gaining so much money with at least a semi legitimate method

I think inventors should perhaps be eligable for a bit of worship here and there. But not all entrepreneurs are inventors

The last entrepreneur I worked for made less money than me off his business.  And I made thirteen and hour.
