Weed goes a'ite with metal but liquor is where it's at IMO.  Invulnerability to pain and complete loss of inhibitions means shins will be broken in the mosh pit.  I remember once seeing my friend getting decked in the face by a 300 lb Navajo after slamming shots of whiskey.

Grindcore a la Napalm Death isn't melodic enough for me... I saw Dark Tranquility last year though and it was fucking epic.  I don't know if I'm just an adrenaline junkie but rock/pop concerts don't seem to send the same chills up my spine.

Mosh pits and walls of death are cool, I just hate hardcore dancing. That shit looks stupid and if I go to a concert, I don't want to receive a flying kick or your stupid windmills arms to my face.
