God takes those closest to us, because it makes him feel better about himself. He is a very vengeful God. He's all pissed off about something we did thousands of years ago. I WAS a fan of grizzly bear.

I thought yellow house was almost a perfect album.  Very dramatic almost cinematic compositions with psychedelic flourishes and powerful harmonies.  Used to be my all time favorite album for tripping.

I felt very let down by vectamist.  It just sounds like they threw a bunch of simple self indulgent pseudopsychedelic whiny crap together in a hurry because all the people around them were like "OH yeah, that sounds awesome, you guys are like the best band ever, your like better than the beatles." and it sucked IMO.

I even saw them in concert twice, once after Yellow House and once after the new one.  First time they were great and played together like a real band.  The second time they sounded like every other hipster folk rock band.

This of course is all My opinion.  Most people seem to really like the new shit.

ah. i just play my ipod on shuffle constantly and put as much "cool" music on it as it can fit

That's a shame. Yellow House blew me away, but Veckatimest.. owned my soul!

Such good music. I even love Horn of Life..

I think Daniel Rossen has to be one of my favorite singer/songwriter/guitarists of all time.

His voice on "While You Wait for the Others" gives me major chills.

Haha yeah! And one of the two singers is gay, so that's cool. I guess the band was named after one of his exes or something.
