reasons for not tripping?

2 buddies and i got 10grams of these mushrrooms earlier tonight. they took 5 grams, and i took 5 grams. they split their bag in half and munched, while i split my bag and munched. 30 minutes later they were on my floor gazing at the ceiling tripping pretty hard. i was feeling nothing at all, so i ate the other 1/2 of my bag. well, they tripped pretty hard for 4 or 5 hours and i never felt anything. no buzz, no tracers, no smileys. im really quite pissed. what reasons are there for one to ingest and not trip? i hadn;t eaten anything since maybe 6-8 hours beforehand, and i ate them the old fashioned way-chewed and washed down with orange juice.

?!?! sounds weird to me!
maybe you tripped the previews days on shrooms or maybe acid?

havent tripped for atleast 6-8 months on anything. i dont do any other drugs other than pot.
5g of mush should have had me flipping out. but nothing at all

theres not a chance that these are going to creep up on me is there? its been about 11 hours since i ate them. i have family type stuff to do all day today, and i dont want to all of the sudden wig out

My first home grown flush, I and two of my friends each ate an eigth. They both tripped balls and i didn't trip at all. My friends thought it was because i had to drive us back from the forest (we left before we came up, stupid city-lovin' friends). But i've tripped on less when i've had to drive before. I hadn't tripped for like 6 months and i had an empty stomach. I'm really suprised 5 grams didn't do anything for you! I guess that's just how it goes sometimes. I love how unpredictable mushies can be!

BTW, were the ones you ate home grown? If so, were they grown on brown rice flour substrate? My mushies were and i noticed they aren't nearly as potent as any i've ever bought off the street. Even fresh.

thats funny you mention that. i had to drive about 25 miles to get them, then 25 miles home. im not sure how they were grown. i got them from my best friend, who is very reputable. he got them from a guy, who he says (so i believe him) is also very reputable.
i wonder if the driving really has something to do with it? that would explain a lot. thanks for th input!

a friend of mine doesnt do shrooms anymore because they just dont do anything for him now. he had only tripped about 2 times before with success and then tried doing mushies a while later a couple of times and never tripped out on em so he doesnt do them anymore.

Just give it another try kokopelli! You didn't do anything wrong.

thanks for the input people. my cat just started cultivating, so i'll most definately try again after harvest. the one thing i'm worried about is eating too much next time.
also, does the time frame that you eat them really matter? like--the next time im going to eat 3 grams. then wait, then eat more, then wait, then eat more, etc etc. is this a good idea? i want to trip, but i dont want to eat 7 grams at once and completely flip out. like, eat 7 grams over the course of a couple hours.

i've had a similar case happen to my friends, me and 4 other friends ate an 1/8 and only 3 of us tripped our asses off, the others didn't even feel anything, like nothing. i didn't understand how some were tripping soo hard while others just didn't even feel anything

that's also a major factor i was wondering about. my 2 friends said they were some of the better mushies that they've eaten. and they are both quite experienced.

i think orange juice is a phony rumor method....one time i downed 4 grams with some orange juice and the trip was pretty weak, another time i ate one large shroom and some shake with some gogurt and had a intense body trip, they were all from the same strain too, not sure which tho

i always eat my shroomw ith some orange juice. i always have great intense trips even with low dosages
