Teacher with rabbit phobia to sue 14-year-old for drawing bunny
    #12490368 -

The teacher, from Vechta, Germany, says she was traumatised by the drawing, and claims the girl knew it would terrify her.

She had transferred to the school where a pupil from her former school had just become a pupil and told her new friends about the teacher's fear of rabbits.

"We did it for fun and out of curiosity", one of the girls told a court, adding, "We wanted to see if she would really freak out."

School officials removed her from the class and now the teacher is seeking compensation for her terror and her loss of earnings, her lawyer Manfred Bormann told the court.

The case continues.

I wanna see an actual picture of this bunny drawing to determine whether or not it is terrifying.

It's got to be fairly detailed. I'm sure it will surface in the coming days.

My advice is to find those things that give pleasure and do them often without too much attachment and relax and wait for the show to end.

Lmfao. That girl should go in a rabbit costume to court. That would be awesome!

I hate to say it, but i can see where the teacher is coming from...  i wonder what will happen to the student?  it was done in a malicious manner, so it'll be interesting to see how this progresses.

Oh come on, if someone were to tell you, hey Ms. Jenkins is scared of bunny drawings, wouldn't you draw one just to see what she would do. It's not as if this kid broke any of the rules, if someones irrational fear is going to inconvenience someone else then that person should stay home. And yes not being able to draw awesome bunny cartoons is a major inconvenience.

It's not illegal to draw bunnies. The motives behind it are irrelevant in my eyes.

If anything were to be done about it,it should have been dealt with it in the school with maybe extra homework or some other disciplinary action.

pursuing legal action of any form against a child is more childish than the child him/herself

If the teacher wins, she'll get enough for lunch and a used I-Pod.

Lol I'm surprised that teacher made it in the world this long. Seriously, if you freak out over a picture of a bunny you're retarded.

These are 14 year old kids... I'd be surprised if one of them DIDN'T do this eventually.

Its such an irrational fear that you would have to test it to believe it.  It's not like one of the kids was like "hey Ms. Jenkins has a serious fear of heights, lets push her off the roof".

As for what the drawing looks like... I'm picturing something from Rayman Raving Rabbids.

If you have some phobia that is retarded and you choose to work with the public and around people who are known to do things that are annoying and you get "terrified" you don't need to sue. The teacher just wants money or she would just ask that the kid who did it would be moved to another teacher.

I think detention for having drawn a bunny would be a enough to make some parents very upset but to actually sue? If she's such a freak about things such as bunnies and she works with children? I think some one should be looking to sue her crazy ass in the future.
