i sure as hell did! when i tried to ask anything i usually ended up only increasing my knowledge of my perceived homosexuality and ignorance

but i know a lot of people are thin-skinned and would get butt hurt, so having a board where they could just click click away on answers to questions they have would be fantastic. :billymaythumbup:

would be less of a draw tho. there's something satisfying about communicating in real time with real people.

completely agreed, but what is most often being communicated by new users are questions that have been answered hundreds of times over and it is understandable that the older, more knowledgeable users get annoyed and flame them hahaha-
i just think in this case, for these kinds of questions and such that get constantly asked by the new users (self included), having a single board to answer all those questions with stickies, while still having the "post, reply, quote" type communication of the other boards would greatly help the noobs to not get flamed and help the long time users from having to see the same questions every day haha...

why should it annoy them to see the same questions asked? other than they are grouchy old bastards. besides, the drama generates interest and generates clicks, which generates money for the site.

it's not as if these newbie questions are driving away the old hats, if anything they just hang around the advanced and gourmet forums more.

i fail to see the problem with letting people post whatever question they want.

Make more articles easy to understand and read.

Currently all the help articles are arranged in a manner that you have to click through multiple links just to get to one thing. Even then if you manage to get through all the clicking you'll find a dead link or extremely old material.

Also, there should be a topic somewhere defining what all the acronyms mean. I'm fairly new and I can guess a couple of them..but the rest make no sense at all.

Oh yea, get rid of the people on the forum that just post " use the search over and over " . Seriously, if you can't add anything constructive then don't post. If everyone used the search function then you wouldn't have any reason to post, so be thankful they are asking questions :|

In short: Have more detailed, easy to find/read posts that contain information on different teks, what all the acronyms mean, and just everything pretty much. (Someone mentioned a wikipedia like website, which would be pretty nice).
