Does anybody have a window unit AC

im thinkin of getting this but my window opens horizontally and is really tall so would i be able to put this in my window vertically?

I just lol'd remembering that...

I'm surprised I havn't seen someone do this yet. Especially on one of those huge rimmed escalades or whatever cool kids are driving now.

i've seen windows where ac units leave a gap above/below the unit so they just put a frame in place of the gap.




just talk to the people at whatever store you're planning on purchasing the unit from, they'll be able to help you install it.

No, you cannot turn it on its side.

I have a horizontal window and use a portable air conditioner that can fit either horizontal or vertical.  They are quite a bit more expensive though.

buy some sheets of metal, a water pump, and some pvc pipe.  Drill a bunch of holes in the pipe, put it above the sheet metal, then put this into a tank, then put the pump in there and the water will run down the metal creating a nice cooling vapor.  Plus you'll get your daily intact of iron if you don't use stainless steel.

I use a box fan because I'm even poorest compared to you guys... I can't affort a window unit AC. I have central and it sucks upstairs.
