Will California Legalize Marijuana November 2nd?

Its on the ballot to legalize weed for people 21 and over
you cant smoke in public or in front of a minor
you cant advertise its sale and there is a $50 state tax for each ounce sold

my vision is yeah it will pass, and then the Gov't will start making examples of people in cali, sendin em away to the prisons

Will adults 21 an over be able to grow their own?

It's free to grow a plant, thus any price is profit...50 dollars an ounce is plenty.

Today's black market prices are usually ridiculous.

Anyone complaining about the tax should realize that it will be cheaper then it is right now for the consumer.  Now if you are a distributer, well I guess your going to be shopping at Costco for your weed now.

I really think it won't, anyone that wants to smoke weed legally already can there, I think potheads will be too lazy to go out and vote.  I hope I'm wrong, but I think its going to lose by a narrow margin.

ive said it before..and ill repeat myself ..

the answer to the title question has to be a resounding no.. given the way the governor and senate elections in california are headed...i cannot possibly imagine anyone voting meg whitman for governor and at the same time voting to legalize marijuana...furthermore..tom campbell (or fiorina/devore) in the US senate will no doubt push for federal legislation that will require anyone that gets caught with a spliff in their mouth to be summarily declared a terrorist and disappeared as such...

marijuana legalization has gained a political foothold at various times in the past too.. then as now..the dreaded silent majority responded swiftly and brutally at the ballot box...

illinois is not holding a referendum on legalizing marijuana...but like CA..IL is also electing a governor and a senator this fall.. and like CA..the IL polls are also lurching to the right...

with even liberal states like CA and IL voting for repugincan jackboots.. the only conclusion that can be drawn is that america will be well on its way to becoming a hard-core police state come november.. and we will prolly be there in 2012...and it is of course ludicrous to think that such a society could legalize marijuana.. in fact just talking about it could land your ass in guantanamo...

There is downsides to legalizing marijuana in just 1 state, though the downsides are very small compared to the benefit.
