I think it's funny how we strive to make artificial senses that replace our own when they go rather than strive to develop a new way in perceiving the world.  I'm not talking about just visually either, I'm talking straight into the brain perception of an entirely new sense.

I'm not trying to downplay artificial vision either, that's freakin badass, I'm just saying let's think outside the box.  When people lose senses I'll bet all they think about at first is getting it back; it's amazing how concrete we've made our 5 senses.

uhhhh. some animals have like, sonar or somethang'



but there probably are many more senses. on other planets and such.

and many thangs that are currently present which we can not detect with our limited senses.

im sorry to diss on this post because thinking outside the box is a GREAT thing, but do you not realize/understand how the government could utilize this almost universally and control society in its totallity?

Ive read that blind people who have had NDE's or OBE's were able to see during the experience. :thumbup:

well some of them were blind at birth, so what they see isn't easy to integrate with what we see, colors for example. As for people who lost their sight later in life, they try and pass it off as imagination or memory but that's only because western science is so close minded.

im not saying helping blind people see is a bad thing. im saying creating NEW SENSES in human beings could be harnessed to cause very very......VERY bad consequences.....
