Fixing a bong

Not too long ago the "arm"(?) broke off the bowl of my bong and although I've been using it without, after a long smoking sesh the bowl tends to be quite hot(duh) and I'm wondering if there is some sort of adhesive I could use to reattach the two parts together that would be resistant to the heat and not give off any toxic fumes?
I'm sorry if this is the wrong place for this post and thanks in advance for the help! :smile:

epoxy should work great, as long as you don't get any in the bowl itself

check out a product called "right stuff" if you apply it correctly your golden. its a great bandaid for all things. Make sure to let it set properly.

home depot or anywhere similar will have it

the instructions are on the thing but i'll tell you anyway:
what you wanna do is push an equal amount of goo out of both tubes (easy since the plungers are connected) and mix the two liquids as thoroughly as possible
then take the well-mixed goo and dab it on the break
push the arm into the goo in the desired position, and either hold it or support it with something while the epoxy sets
this should take no more than five minutes, but if the mixture isn't good then it will either take longer or just fail to set properly
if you mixed well, it should take about two or three minutes before you can let go, then you want to let it sit for a couple of hours before using it just to be safe

:shrug: I don't know if regular epoxy is a good choice, as some brands are not that heat resistant, and can in some occasions melt off. Try and find ceramic glue, preferably high temperature. Go to the hardware store and ask for a kit to repair a ceramic stove-top crack. That or high-temp epoxy.

Make sure to let it cure for a good while before using too, as most glues give off volatile fumes and really suck to breathe in, especially when smoking "legal herbs".

I usually let it sit for twice what it recommends, just to be sure. Hope this helps!
