My bong broke--Questions

Okay, I broke my bong today...at first, i was mortified, but when i looked at it closer i realized all that broke was my bowl/slider, and the stem that holds the bowl and goes down to the water. Now I have this big, thick 20" flower vase, so i'm still pretty bummed out, but determined to get it fixed.




I got it at a shop in wisconsin a few years ago, and i'm in texas now so i can't just go back and see if they have another stem and sliding bowl. and as you can see, it's decently big, pretty nice, and I want to keep it and fix it. you all know what your glass bongs mean to you... In the first picture you can see it still has the rubber part that seals the stem into the bong, so that air doesn't leak.. My question is has anyone ever broke the stem in a bong like this and replaced it? I'm betting there are replacement parts, and i'm going to search on my own, but I would like to know any advice anyone has as well.

Sounds like it was the slide and female which broke, which I beleive you can buy at a headshop.

find the dimentions and get a clear plastic or glass tubing for the neck. you can get a new bowl/stem at any headshop.

GGreat advice....for $20 you can have a nice little slide,and a female piece and bbe smoking again by tomm night.do what drgonz says,ive had it happen to me.and dont be cheap or it will happen again,get the thhicker glass.

just go buy an apple, it is easier, if you have to bong it, you either have shitty weed or you need to cut down on your smoking so it doesn't take as much to get high...tolerance..always catches up with you when you use too much of anything...btw I was just kidding...I stick with homemade bongs, cheaper and if they break, no major loss in costs...

actually i want to get a vaporizing gun and start using my bong for that, since i'm getting into growing my own again. unfortunately i live in a craphole town in texas so i have to travel 45 minutes up to austin to hit up a headshop. i have two other spoon type bowls that are still working so it's all good for now.... there's just something about your first bong that's special, so i gotta get this thing fixed.

go to any local headshop they will have it. Do not take it in with you, they will kick you out, merely trace the diamater. It appears to be an oversized stem. Ask for the female (part in the water) and a male.
If you want I'm pretty sure you can get a proline female-it's oversided and glass on glass. Maybe a little pricier that way but glass on glass is a better seal. Either way you should get the set for 20 bucks or so.
